1The service
Social Piano (the "Service") lets you play piano in the browser and in the Android app, play together with others in real time and learn piano. The Service is provided by Social Piano ("we"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
2Account
- You can play as a guest or sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old; if you are under 18 you need a parent's permission.
- Your username and avatar are visible to others; misleading or inappropriate names may be changed.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → General → Delete account.
3Virtual items
- Tokens and gems are virtual units used only inside the Service; they have no real-money value and cannot be transferred or cashed out.
- Store items are a licence to use tied to your account, not property. Virtual units and items are lost if the account is deleted or terminated.
- We may change the price or availability of virtual items. Virtual units obtained through bugs or abuse may be removed.
4Your content
- You own the content you create or upload (song files, recordings, messages, profile text). You must own it or have permission to share it.
- When you publish content in the Service (for example a public song or a chat message), you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and deliver it to other users within the Service for as long as it is published. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy.
- Songs and recordings you publish can be seen by other users.
- Classical works in the library are public domain or their licence is shown on their card and in the Licences section.
5Acceptable use
You must follow the community rules in the Rules tab. Do not try to disrupt the Service, access other accounts, abuse it with automated tools or exploit security issues. If you see inappropriate content or behaviour, use the report option in the app.
6Copyright notices
If you believe content in the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, email support@socialpiano.com with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:
- a description of the work you claim is infringed,
- a description of the infringing content and where it is in the Service (username, song title, screenshot),
- your name, contact details and your authority to act for the rights owner,
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights owner or the law, and that the information in the notice is accurate, under penalty of perjury,
- your physical or electronic signature.
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable the content and inform the user who shared it. A user who believes the content was removed by mistake can send a counter-notice to the same address with their contact details, a description of the removed content and a good-faith statement; for notices under the DMCA, the counter-notice must also include consent to the jurisdiction of the competent federal court. We forward the counter-notice to the complaining party and may restore the content after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. This procedure follows 17 U.S.C. § 512 (DMCA) for rights owners in the United States.
7Suspension and termination
We may mute, suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or the community rules, with or without notice. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
8Third-party content
YouTube videos shared in chat are provided by YouTube and subject to YouTube's terms. We are not responsible for the content of links to other websites.
9Liability
The Service is provided "as is", without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damages arising from its use. We may change the Service or these terms; important changes are announced in the app, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
10Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. The terms are published in English and Turkish; for users of other languages the English version applies.
